Chinese New Year Lion Dance Performances

img_9381The lion dance is an important tradition in the Chinese culture.  It is a common practice as part of Chinese New Year festivities to bring good luck and happiness.   It is tradition is to feed the lion “lucky money” in red paper envelopes or “laycee”.  Whatever the amount donated, it is believed to be returned to you ten fold.

At Jasmine, Lion Dance performers enter our grand dining hall for approximately 20 minutes of exciting, drum-beating  entertainment and the bringing of good luck for the coming New Year.  All shows are free with dining hall seating provided at a first-come, first-serve basis.  The serving of food will be delayed during the show, so we recommend coming early and ordering plenty before the show starts.
